A’s at Rays preview
Later today we will see the return of the All Star games winning pitcher Scott Kazmir as he takes the mound for the Tampa Bay Rays (57-40) against Dana Eveland and the Oakland Athletics (51-47). The A’s are hoping to end their five game losing streak, while Kazmir is hoping to turn his season around after going 1-4 in his last seven starts. This is a key series for Tampa Bay as they currently hold a 1.5 game lead over the Red Sox in the tight AL East race. Kazmir has been mostly dominant against the A’s in nine career starts versus them, with a 5-1 record and a 2.96 ERA. Game time is scheduled for 7:10 PM Eastern.
